-- Good news to all the Tensei Shitara Ken Deshita (Reincarnated as a Sword) fans, judging by the Official Trailer on AniTV the animation and cinematography is really good. Fran will finally makes her debut in the animated world, Reincarnated as a sword anime release date is scheduled for October 2022. I first learned about Reincarnated as a Sword on "Shōsetsuka ni Narō website" back in 2016, and I thought back then that the light novel story was pretty good however, few are talking about it and I never thought that it will be this big. The Reincarnated as a sword light novel series is now at Volume 13 and the Reincarnated as a Sword manga is gaining traction and it is also well received by fans.
Reincarnated as a Sword or Tensei Shitara Ken Deshita (転生したら剣でした) is written by Yuu Tanaka and the light novel was published by Micro Magazine. While the Reincarnated as a Sword manga art is done by Tomowo Maruyama, and the anime series will be produced by C2C studio.
Main characters are Teacher or Master and Fran. Teacher narrates the story, he is a Japanese 30-year-old salaryman who died in a car crash. He is an Otaku and after he died he was reincarnated as a legendary sword. Fran who is a young Cat-girl child had parents who are adventurers seeking to evolve but failed and passed away. Fran who wants to continue her parents work tried to follow their footstep but was captured by slave traders. She was treated horribly by her masters. One day while she were in a caravan with other slaves and masters they were attacked by a two headed bear. Her master command her to stay and distract the bear while they escape. She can't disobey her master since the collar she is wearing is bound by magic. Unfortunately for his master the bear suddenly appear and attack him and the collar's command weakened so she was able to ran away. She tripped and fall and saw a majestic sword stuck on the ground. The sword talked to her and asked her to pull the it out and equip it and the rest is history.
The Reincarnated as a Sword Anime will be directed by Shinji Ishihira who is known for directing "Talentless Nana 2020" and "Edens Zero." I'm so stoke for this Anime. I really hope they stick close to the original story in the Light Novel. The trailer is really good, the characters are likable. It's a mixture of fantasy, adventure and slice of life.
